Difficulty: Easy - for beginners
1 c Karo light corn syrup
1 c sugar
2 Tbs butter, melted
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 c pecan (pieces or halves)
1 deep dish 9" pie shell, unbaked
Preheat oven to 350
Stir together syrup, eggs, sugar, butter, and vanilla. When mixed well, fold in pecans.
Pour mixture into pie shell.
Bake on center rack for 70 minutes. If crust begins to over-brown, cover edges with foil. Remove from oven and let cool 2 hours before slicing.
Store leftovers in refrigerator.
