Pita Bread

3-4 cups flour
1 tbsp. yeast
1 1/4 cup water
1/2 tsp. salt


Mix 2 cups flour and dry yeast. Add water and salt. Mix well. Add remaining flour until dough cleans side of pan. Knead 4-5 min. Form into 10 portions. Roll out in 5"-6" circles, 1/4" thick. Be sure both sides are lightly covered with flour. Let rise 30 min. Bake @ 500F for 5 min. Wrap in towel as soon as baked. Delicious when spread with cream cheese, avacado, diced tomatoes, and sprinkled with cumin and salt! mmmmmm.... also crumbled feta cheese diced tomatoe, cilantro. put under broiler for 1 minute. sooooo good!!!
