Springtime Garden Pilaf

Difficulty: Easy - for beginners


2 3/4 cups water
1/4 cups butter or margarine
2 tbs chicken boullion
1/4 tsp salt
pinch of pepper
1/4 tsp minced garlic
1 1/4 cup uncooked long grain rice
1/2 cup chopped carrots
1/2 cup slivered almonds, toasted
1/4 cup chopped parsley
2 tbs sliced green onion


In, a 2 quart saucepan bring water, butter, chicken bouillon, salt, pepper and garlic to a full boil. Add rice and carrots; return to a full boil. Reduce heat tot low; simmer until rice is tender. Stir in remaining ingredients.
