1 can (15 to 16 oz.) garbanzo beans, drained
1/4 cup olive oil
1 clove garlic, cut in half
2 Tbs lemon juice (squeeze it fresh, its much better!)
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp ground cumin
Coarsely ground black pepper
In a blender or food processor, place beans, oil, garlic, lemon juice, salt, and cumin.
Cover and blend on high speed, stopping blender occasionally to scrape sides if necessary, until uniform consistency.
Spoon into serving dish and sprinkle with coarsely ground black pepper.
Serve with pita bread wedges or raw veggies.
