5 Whole Frozen Sardines (not thawed)
1 tbsp pimento paste or Portuguese hot pimento paste
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive oil
1 tsp dry garlic and red pepper seasoning
2 garlic cloves grated through a fine grater
1 tsp cracked black pepper
1 lemon cut into wedges
Bunch of Parsley
1.) Take the frozen sardines and rinse them under cold water, pat dry with paper towel.
2.) Put sardines into a mixing bowl and add all ingredients except for the lemon.
3.) Set aside for about 5-10 minutes
4.) Preheat oven and a pan under the Broil setting on your oven or 500 degrees
5.) After about 5 minutes of the oven and the pan preheating add the marinated sardines laying on one side and grill for about 5 minutes on each side or until you see a nice crust coating on each side.
6.) After about 10 minutes and the sardines are nicely crisped on the outsides, remove from oven and transfer to plate on top of fresh chopped parsley (4 tbsp)
7.) Drizzle sardines with olive oil and garnish with parsley and a good squeeze of lemon
