Difficulty: Easy - for beginners
1 pound bacon
1 package little smokie sausages, about 16 ounces
1 cup brown sugar, or to taste
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut bacon into thirds and wrap each strip around a little sausage and secure with a toothpick. Arrange on baking sheet and sprinkle liberally with brown sugar. Bake until bacon is crisp and the brown sugar melted.
I actually fixed the sausages the night before, giving the brown sugar time to seep into the bacon, and cooked the next day. It caramelizes the sugar onto the bacon. These are addictive.
