Avengers Chicken Shawarma

Easy to make Shawarma.Great quick dinner to make after work, and can be made in advance. Good as a salad also if you want to omit the pita.

Ingredients

2 lb Boneless, skinless Chicken breast
2 cups Greek Yogurt
4 garlic cloves minced
1 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp tahini (This is optional)
1/2 tsp dried oregano
Juice of 1 lemon
Salt and Pepper (pinch)
1 Tbsp olive oil
1/2 Tbsp red wine vinegar
4 whole wheat pitas (Optional)
1/2 English cucumber (If no English cucumber available, take a regilar cucumber, cut in half and then cut lengthwise. Using the tip of a spoon scrape out the seeds)

Optional Toppings:
Chopped Romaine
Sliced tomatoes
Red onions (thinly sliced)
Sliced cucumbers
Hummus

Method

Make Marinade:
-Use 1 cup of yogurt, 2 cloves of garlic, oregano, cumin, tahini (op but to taste), and leomn juice. Add a few pinches of salt and pepper. Add chicken and marinate in fridge for at least 2 hours or up to 2 days.

Make sauce:
Mix 1 cup of yogurt, remaining garlic, olive oil, and vinegar. Salt to taste.

Chicken:
Grill chicken (Foreman or Charcoal), until lightly charred on both sides and cooked through, (Foreman 360 degrees)about 8 minutes. Let them rest off the heat for @5 minutes. Grill pitas lightly. Slice chicken into strips and stuff into pitas.
Add yogurt sauce and toppings.
