Irish Soda Bread

So delish served with Lyle's Golden Syrup!

Cooking time: 25 mins

Difficulty: Easy - for beginners

2 cups plain flour
1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup butter
3/4 cup buttermilk


Sift dry Ingredients Together.

Rub in butter.

Add buttermilk, 1/2 at a time.

Stir/cut through until it forms a sticky dough.

Shape into bread or cut with scone cutter.

Bake at 200 Degrees for 20-25 minutes, or 10-12 minutes for scones.

Serve warm with maple syrup.
