Pecan Pie

3 eggs, beaten lightly
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. white Karo syrup
1/4 c. butter, softened (or melted and cooled slightly)
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2-1c. pecans, coarsely chopped (big chunks ok!)
1 9" unbaked pie crust


Put pecans in pastry-lined pie pan.

Mix together all other ingredients with mixer, pour into pie shell.

Bake @ 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes, or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean.

Cool pie on wire rack. Cover and chill to store.
