Tart Dough

Sweet pastry dough for pies and tarts

180g butter
2 tbsp vegetable oil
6 tbsp water
3 tbsp sugar
1/4 tbsp salt
300g flour


1. Preheat oven to 200°
2. Combine butter, oil, sugar and salt in a pyrex bowl
3. Heat in oven until bubbling
4. Stir flour in until it becomes a ball
5. Press into form (tart, pie, tartelette) - can be very thin
6. pierce often with fork
7. bake until golden brown - 10-15 min.
8. cool and fill
