Nana's Persimmon Cake

Difficulty: Easy - for beginners


1/2 c butter
1 1/2 c sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
1 c persimmon pulp
1/2 c milk
2 c flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp cloves
1/2 tsp allspice
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp salt


Cream together butter and sugar. Add in eggs, pulp, and milk. Mix well.

Sift together dry ingredients.

Combine the two mixtures.

Bake in a loaf pan or double the recipe and bake in an angel food form.

Bake at 350 for 1 - 1 1/2 hours until cake pulls from side of the pan.
