Nana's Cold Relish

Difficulty: Easy - for beginners


4 carrots
2 lg heads cabbage
9 red peppers
9 green peppers
8 medium onions
1/2 c salt

3 pints vinegar
2 pints sugar
2 Tbs white mustard seed
2 Tbs celery seed


Run the vegetables through a food processor and mix in with 1/2 c salt. Let mixture stand 3 hours. Squeeze out salt water and add vinegar, sugar, mustard seed, and celery seed.

Mix well and seal cold.
