I never make this by the pound. We always use 6-8 lbs of burger so I had to do a little math to determine a recipe for a smaller amount.

1 lb hamburger
1 egg
½-3/4 cup oatmeal
½ cup milk
Onions or dried onion flakes
Seasonings-onion powder, garlic powder, celery powder-I just shake it in-never measure.

1 cup ketchup
½ cup original or honey BBQ sauce
½ cup water


Mix well in a bowl. If it seems a little sticky, add more oatmeal. If it seems to dry, add a little milk. Form meatballs, put in a cake pan-8 x 8.

Mix with a whisk
Pour over the meatballs, bake in oven covered with foil for about 40 minutes-remove foil and cook till it is done.

I put the balls in a serving dish, pour the sauce in a grease separator and pour the sauce back over the balls.
