Difficulty: Easy - for beginners
1 can (11 oz) condensed cheddar cheese soup
1 c shredded cheese (cheddar, swiss or parmessan)
2 green onions, finely chopped
1/4 tsp garlic powder
dash red pepper sauce
dippers (croutons, baguette, cooked chicken, cooked asparagus, cauliflower, broccoli, etc)
In fondue pot, saucepan, or chaffing dish, heat the soup and cheese over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until cheese is melted. Stir in onion, garlic, and red pepper sauce.
Serve with the dippers of choice.
If fondue thickens too much, stir in a small amount of apple juice, beer, or white wine.
