My Mother's Favorite Banana Bread

Ingredients

3-4 very ripe bananas, mashed
1 c. sugar
1 lg. egg
3 T. melted butter
1/2 c. chopped nuts, if desired
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 salt

Method

In large mixing bowl mash bananas well. Add sugar and egg mixing well. Blend in dry ingredients and mix. Stir in butter. Pour into greased and floured 9-inch loaf pan. Bake at 350 about 45 minutes or until set. Cool on wire rack
