Muesli is a European breakfast that essentially consists of oats, grains, and nuts (ideally RAW) soaked overnight and then eaten with fresh fruit. ANY of the items can be omitted (except the oats).

2 cups rolled oats
1 cup rolled wheat
1 cup 9 grain cereal blend*
1/8 cup wheat germ
1/4 cup wheat bran
1/2 cup unsweetened coconut
1/4 cup sesame seeds
1/4 cup hemp seeds
1/4 cup sunflower seeds
1 cup raisins
1/2 cup cashew pieces
1/2 cup slivered almonds
1/4 cup dried blueberries
1/4 cup goji berries
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp salt


Mix all ingredients together and place them in your freezer, either in a storage container or in a ziplock bag.

When you want Muesli for breakfast- Combine 1 cup of the Muesli mix with 1 cup of soymilk or rice milk.
It is best to soak overnight. (I have soaked the muesli for about 3 hours and it has worked just fine).

Add fresh chopped fruit as much (or as little) as desired.

Ideas for fresh fruit:

Grapes, Bananas, Mango, Peaches, Blueberries, Blackberries, Raspberries, Strawberries, Apples and Pears.

*The 9 grain blend was purchased at a health food store and consists of red wheat, white wheat, rye, barley, corn, millet, oats, flax and buckwheat.
