Spaghetti

This is a nice thick recipe, to break the meat down their is a extra long cook time and to get the spices to combine well.

Ingredients

1 1/2 Pounds Ground Beef (as lean as you can find it)
29 Ounces Tomato Sauce
1/2 Cup Tomatoes (petitely diced)
3/4 Onion (finley chopped)
1/2 Cup Green Peppers (finely chopped)
1 teaspoon Dried Basil
1/2 teaspoon Dried Parsley
5 teaspoons Granulated Sugar
1/4 teaspoon Garlic Powder
1 Tablespoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1/8 teaspoon Black Pepper
1 Whole Bay Leaf
1/4 Cup Romano Cheese
1/4 Cup Parmesan Cheese

Method

1. Cook, drain ground beef (don't over cook just as soon as the red is gone, this will help the beef break up in the sauce).

2. Add the remaining ingredients (except the cheese), bring to a boil, then reduce to the lowest heat that the stove can be put on. Let slow cook for several hours (more time the better(I let it cook over night for about 8 hours)).

3. 20 minutes before serving add the cheeses, stir in well. Let cook for the 20 minutes. When serving discard the bay leaf.
