Grandma's Breakfast Fruit

3 large cooking apples, peeled and thickly sliced
1/2 cups pitted prunes
3/4 cup raisins
1 orange, peeled and sectioned
3 cups plus 3 tablespoons water, divided
1/2 cups sugar
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons cornstarch


In a suacepan, combine apple prunes, raisins, orange and 3 cups water. Bring to a boil' reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes. Stir in sugar and cinnamon. Combine cornstarch and remaining water; stir into saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Cook 2 minutes. Chill.
