Peanut butter and jam bars

Ingredients

1/2 c sugar
1/2 c brown sugar
1/2 c peanut butte
1/2 c butter
1 egg
1 1/4 c flour
3/4 t baking soda
1/2 t baking powder
1/2 to 3/4 c raspberry jam

Method

Heat oven to 150°C (350°F)
Mix sugars, butters and egg, add flour baking soda and baking powder and stir until you have soft dough. Reserve 1 cup. Press remaining dough into ungreased rectangular pan , 13x9x2 inches; spread with jam. Crumble reserved dough and sprinkle over jam. BAKE UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN, ABOUT 20 MINUTES;cool on a wire rack. Cut into bars, about 2x1 1/2 inches.
