Spooky's Mom's Amazing Indonesian Pork Tenderloin

This stuff is really delicate and delicious!

Preparation time: overnight marinating + 10 mins
Cooking time: 25-30 mins

Serves: 3-4


1 1/2lb pork tenderloin
2 Tbs Butter
1 Tbs lemon juice
grated rind of 1 lemon
1/2 tsp tabasco
3 Tbs grated onion
1 Tbs brown sugar
1 tsp ground coriander
1/2 tsp ground cumin
1/4 tsp ginger
1 clove garlic, crushed
1/2 cup Indonesian soy sauce or teriyaki sauce
salt and pepper to taste.


Place pork tenderloin in a ziploc bag or non-reactive bowl.
Melt butter in saucepan and add remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil and simmer 5 minutes. Cool slightly and pour over meat. Refrigerate overnight, turning meat periodically. Some of the butter will congeal a bit, but this is normal. After marinating, remove meat and reserve marinade. Grill for 25 - 30 minutes over medium heat turning occasionally, then remove from heat and let rest 10 minutes.
Bring reserved marinade to a boil again, then drizzle over meat.
