Thick wholemeal bread
50ml fresh milk
pinch of salt to season
cooked crunchy mixed veggie filling
1. Spread one side of each slice of bread with margerine and spread a layer of filling. Cover with the remaining slice of bread. Press down gently so filling is slightly compacted. Cut sandwich into halves.
2. Beat egg, milk, salt in a bowl. Dip each sandwich into the egg mixture, ensuring it is well coated.
3. Heat margerine in a frying pan over low heat and pan fry sandwich until golden brown about 4-5 mins each side.
