Pan Brownies with Icing DELICIOUS :)
got the recipe 8/2/82 from Freda Westbrook, Sunday School swimming party at Randall & Kathy Halls in BlyVegas

Preparation time: 30 min.
Cooking time: 20 min.

Difficulty: Medium - experience needed
Serves: 18-20

2 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups sugar
1/2 t. salt
1 stick butter
1 cup H20
1/2 cup vegetable oil
3 Tbsp. Cocoa
2 eggs
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. Vanilla
1/2 cup milk
ICING: 1 stick Butter
2 Tbsp. Cocoa
4 Tbsp. Milk
remove from heat and add 1 tsp. Vanilla
bag of powdered sugar

Mix together dry ingredients. all-purpose flour, sugar & salt.
Melt in a 2 qt. saucepan, 1 stick of Butter, 1 c. of H20, 1/2 c. vegetable oil and 3 Tbsp. Cocoa. Bring to a boil and pour over flour
(dry ingredients). Mix well. Either with a whisk or use a hand mixer.
In a separate bowl:
2 eggs
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. Vanilla
1/2 cup milk (sometimes I use Buttermilk)
Pour into the previous mixed ingredients.
Then pour into a 13 x 9 x 2 (butter) greased brownie or cake pan
Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
1 stick Butter
2 Tbsp. Cocoa, stir until butter is melted
Then add 4-5 Tbsp. milk and stir vigorously
Remove from burner and 1 tsp. Vanilla
I add my powdered sugar (that I have whisked to remove lumps) to the melted cocoa until I get the thickened consistency that I want for my icing.
