Difficulty: Easy - for beginners
• 8 oz. pkg cream cheese
• 1 ½ c. powdered sugar
• 2 c. whipping cream
• 1 tsp. almond flavoring
Make white cake from scratch, substituting almond flavoring instead of vanilla. Bake in 9×13 and cut in half; cut lengthwise for easier serving.
1. Cream ½ c. sugar and cream cheese with mixer.
2. Add whipping cream and remaining sugar. Beat until it looks like cool whip. (Don’t beat too much or cream will start to form butter lumps.)
3. Take 1/3 of mixture and fold in berries of choice.
4. Spread on bottom cake and stack the other cake half on top.
5. The frost entire cake.
6. Chill until served.
7. Top with fruit puree.
