Choc Cherry Drops

Easy to make biscuits - lactose free and gluten free alternative

1 1/2 cups SR flour - I use gluten free (sifted)
1/2 cup custard powder (again, gluten free)
1/2 cup castor sugar
125g butter or margarine, chopped
1/2 cup chopped glace cherries
1/2 cup milk choc bits - white or milk
3-4 tablespoons milk ( I use lactose free)


Combine flour, custard powder and sugar in a large bowl. Rub in butter using fingertips until the mixture resembles coarse breadcrumbs.

Mix in cherries and milk bits. Blend in enough milk to make a firm dough. Drop mixture in rough heaps onto lightly greased or lined baking trays.

Bake in a moderate oven - 180C - for 10 to 15 mins or until golden. Transfer to a wire rack to cool.

Store in an airtight container - away from the kids and especially the husband or they wont last til the end of the day!
