SCONES....easy and works everytime.

Ingredients

4 cups of flour
4 teaspoons of baking powder
250g margarine
1 level teaspoon of salt
1/2 cup of sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup of water and 1/4 cup of milk.

Method

Rub dry ingredients with marg till it forms crumbs
Add the sugar and mix
beat the egg with the milk and water and mix into the crumbs to form a dough
Roll out to 2cm thickness cut to desired size.

Bake at 200 degrees for 12-15 minutes..


Why not try this ...

A good handfull of grated cheese a little mustard and chopped parsley mixed in...makes a lekker breajfast scone.
