Ingredients

1 Cup softened butter
1 1/2 teaspoons water
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
2 Cups unsifted flour
1 Cup chopped walnuts or pecans
1/4 Cup Confectioners Sugar plus additional for tossing the cookies in

Method

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F

Cream butter and 1/4 Cup confectioners sugar. Add remaining ingredients and mix well.

Use small scoop or teaspoon to grab enough dough to create a small crescent shape, or about a 1" ball.

Place on parchment paper or silicon mats on cookie sheets. These will not spread much, so you can put them about 1" apart or so. Bake 15 minutes at 350 degrees F.

Roll in confectioners sugar while still warm, then again when cool.

To freeze, put in freezer bag and freeze prior to rolling them in powdered sugar. You can do that once they're thawed out.

Makes about 6 dozen.
