2 cans boneless chicken 2Tbsp butter 5 lg cut up onions 2Tbsp flour 2(14.5 oz) cans chicken broth 2(14.5 oz) cans beef broth 1C dry white wine salt lemon pepper 8 slices french bread 1C shredded swiss
Melt butter in a lg saucepan; add onions and reduce heat to med-low. Cover and cook 30 minutes or until onions are tender. Uncover and raise heat to med-high. Cook;stirring, about 5 minutes or until onions are golden brown. Add flour, stir and cook 1 minute. Pour in broths and wine. Bring to a simmer, scraping brown bits from bottom of pan. Add chickento soup and season with salt and lemon pepper. When ready to serve, broil bread slices 6" from heat source. Broil until brown. Turn over add a mound of cheese to top and broil until melted and bubbly. serve soup with toast floating on top.
