Difficulty: Easy - for beginners
Serves: 3

12 Pasta Stuffing Shells
1 lb ground beef (venison)
12 oz picante sauce
1/2 cup water
1 small can french fried onions
4 oz tomato sauce
4 oz chopped green chile
1 cup monterey jack cheese

(I usually cook the whole box of stuffing shells and double the recipe of all other ingredients for a hearty meal for 6)

Combine Picante Sauce, water, and tomato sauce; Stir 1/2 cup of sauce mix into beef. Pour 1/2 cup of remaining sauce mixture into bottom of 10 inch round baking dish for recipe (11x17 rectangle if doubling). Add chiles, 1/2 cup cheese and 1/2 cup onions to beef mixture. Stuff shells with beef mixture and arrange shells in baking dish. Pour remaining sauce over shells. Bake covered at 350 for 30 minutes. Top with remaining cheese and onion, bake uncovered 5 minutes longer.
