Difficulty: Easy - for beginners

1- 1 1/2 lb. Chicken breast with skin on (can use 1 lb. boneless, skinless - see directions below)
1 to 1 1/2 quart water (I use 1 1/2 qts.)
4 medium carrots (sliced into coins)
4 med. stalks celery cut into slices
1/2 t. salt
1/2 t. sugar
1/4 t. ground bl. pepper
1/4 t. garlic powder
1/4 t. onion powder or 1/2 t. onion flakes
3 t. chicken bouillon (3 cubes)
8 oz. uncooked Linguini or egg noodles (If using Linguini, break up into 2" pieces before cooking)
Heat all ingredients except noodles to boiling in 4 qt. dutch oven. Cover, reduce heat and simmer about 40-45 mins. Skim fat if desired/necessary.
*If using boneless, skinless chicken breast meat add an extra tsp. of bouillon. You may also cut chicken into 1" pieces ahead of time.
** Important - Cook noodles in separate pan and drain!!! Remove chicken from broth. Let cool a few minutes. Then remove skin and bones. Chop meat into 1 in. pieces and add back into the broth, add noodles, stir, heat about 5 mins. Makes about 8 cups. Enjoy! :)
