Difficulty: Easy - for beginners
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup cinnamon candies
2 cups water
4 apples, cored & cut crosswise into 1/2-inch rings
In skillet, combine sugar, candies and water. Stir over medium heat until sugar and candies dissolve. Add apples to syrup. Simmer gently until transparent, but not soft. Cool in syrup.
