Easy Pork Chops

4, 1 1/2" boneless center cut pork chops
garlic powder, salt and pepper
1 T chopped shallot
2 tsp olive oil
1/2 cup dry red wine
Juice of a lemon
1 T capers (chopped if large)


Season pork chops with garlic powder, salt and pepper. Let rest while: saute' shallot in olive oil for a minute. Add the pork chops and lightly brown. Add the red wine and lemon juice. Cover and cook until cooked through about 12-15 minutes. Remove pork chops and let them rest. Add the capers to the sauce, reduce for a few minutes and serve over pork chops.
