Difficulty: Easy - for beginners
Serves: Makes about 2 1/2 cups
Dietary guidance: v
2 ripe avocados
1/2 sm. onion (finely chopped)
8 oz. softened cream cheese
1 clove garlic (minced)
1 t. Worcestershire sauce
few drops to an 1/8 t. of hot pepper sauce (Louisiana or Tabasco)
2 T. lemon juice
2 T. mayonnaise
Salt, pepper, gr. cayenne pepper to taste (Optional)
In food processor, add cream cheese, peeled and pitted avocados, onion, garlic, and remaining ingredients. Blend until smooth.
Add salt, pepper and gr. cayenne to taste. Blend. Chill.
*You can make this with just a blender. You just need to finely chop the onions and garlic ahead of time if only blending.
**I have a daughter who likes salsa in her guacamole so sometimes I add 1/4 c - 1/2 c. mild Mrs. Renfros salsa. Hubby and son devour it as is. :)
Serve with tortilla chips or over taco salad, taco soup or enchiladas. :)
