1.5 c white cornmeal
.5 c flour
2 t baking powder
1 t baking soda
1 t salt
1-2 T sugar
2 eggs
1.5 c buttermilk
3 T butter


heat 9" skillet or cake pan over low heat
sift (ha) dry ingredients
beat eggs
add buttermilk to eggs and beat again
melt butter in skillet and pour into egg mixture, beating vigorously
quickly mix liquid and dry ingredients and pour into hot pan
pop in oven at 435, bake 30 min
