Pumpkin Streusal muffin

2 cups flour
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
1 large egg
1/3 cup cooking oil
1 cup canned pumpkin, no spice
2/3 cup milk
1 tablespoon butter, softened
1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 cup finely chopped walnuts


In a large bowl, combine first 7 ingredients. Make a well in the center. Set aside. In a medium bowl add next 4 ingredients. Beat well. Add to well of first ingredients. Stir until moistened. Fill 12 greased muffin cups about 3/4 full. In small saucepan, melt butter. Stir in remaining ingredients. Divide and sprinkle over muffins. Bake at 400 degree F for about 18 minutes until toothpick can be inserted and comes out clean. Let stand in pan for 5 minutes before removing to rack to cool.
