Difficulty: Easy - for beginners


1/4 cup butter
2/3 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/3 cup chopped cranberries
1/3 cup glazed orange peel
1/3 cup golden raisins. coarsely chopped
2 cups fflour
2 teaspoons baking powder


Cream margarine, sugar, egg and vanilla together in large bowl until smooth. Add pecans, cranberries, orange peel, raisins and milk. Stir. set aside. In medium bowl, combine flour and baking powder. Add to fruit mixure. Stir until moistened. Turn into greased 8 x 4 x 3 inch loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 1 our. Let stand in pan for 15 minutes before removing to wire rack to finish cooling. Next day, slice loaf.
