Apricot Loaf

1/2 cup butter, softened
2/3 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup milk
2 1/4 cups flour
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup dried apricots, chopped


In large bowl, cream margarine and sugar. Beat in egg. Add vanilla and milk. Mix well. Set aside. In meium bowl, combine four, baking powder and apricots. Add to egg mixture. Stir until moistened. Turn into greased 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hour. Let stnd in pan for q5 minutes before removing to wire rack to cool. Allow o set overnight before slicing.
