make a dish very similar to this. If you like, you can use ground beef or ground chuck instead of sausage. I put the raw cabbage into a buttered casserole and brown the beef with onion, garlic, portabellos, a little sriracha, whatever you like. Add diced tomatoes and/or tomato sauce and/or tomato soup (undiluted,) (if you like it a little sweeter). Pour over cabbage, cover and bake 45 mins or until done. Enjoy! This tastes like cabbage rolls deconstructed.
