Caramels

Ingredients

2 cups granulated sugar
3/4 cup butter
2 cups whipping cream
1 3/4 cups corn syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla

Method

In large saucepan, combine first four ingredients. Heat, stirring constantly, until mixture just starts to boil. Boil slowly for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until mixture reaches ball stage. Remove from heat. Add vanilla. Beat until thickened. Pour into greased 9x9 inch pan. Cool. cut into 1 inch chunks.
