Gran's Cornbread Dressing

A basic southern stuffing just the way Carolyn Katz used to make it :-)

Difficulty: Easy - for beginners


1 large skillet cornbread (no sugar)
1 large onion
1 bell pepper
3 stalks celery
2-3 slices white bread
3 eggs
chicken broth
Italian sausage (optional)


Make skillet cornbread. Saute onion, bell pepper, and celery.

In 13 x 9 casserole dish - Add 2-3 slices white bread soaked in water and squeezed; crumble in cornbread; add 3 eggs, sausage, salt, pepper, and sage. Add 1 can chicken broth

Cook 45 minutes at 350 degrees
