Baked Artichoke Squares

3 tablespoons oil
1 cup chopped fresh mushrooms
¼ cup thinly sliced celery
1 clove garlic, minced
1 can (14 ounces) artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
1/3 cup chopped green onion
¼ teaspoon dried marjoram leaves
½ teaspoon dried oregano leaves
¼ teaspoon cayenne
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1½ cups flour
½ cup oil
½ cup milk


Preheat oven to 3500 F. Heat oil in medium skillet. Add mushrooms, celery, and garlic. Saute until celery is tender. Remove from heat. Stir in artichoke hearts, onion, majoram, oregano, and cayenne. Add cheeses and eggs. Mix well. Set aside. Place flour in medium mixing bowl. Set aside. Blend oil and milk in small bowl. Add to flour. Stir with fork until mixture forms ball. Press in bottom and up the sides of 13x9-inch pan. Bake at 3500 F about 20 minutes until center is set. Cool slightly. Cut into 24 squares. Serve warm.
