Rancho Baked Beans by Elizabeth Bullen

Yet another recipe from Mum...I think its from the early 1980's. Easy to make. We never have leftovers with these!

Difficulty: Easy - for beginners


2 cups chopped onions
1 lb. ground beef
1 t. salt
1 1/3 cups tomato ketchup
2 t. cider vinegar
2 1-lb cans of pork and beans in tomato sauce
1 1-lb can kidney beans, drained
1/3 cup molasses, light flavored
1/2 lb. bacon, cut into 1" squares


Fry bacon until crisp. Drain off most fat. Put onions in frying pan and brown. Add ground beef. Cook 'til meat is evenly browned. Add other ingredients.

Place in oven dish and bake 30 min. at 400 degrees or 2 to 3 hours at 300 degrees.
