Chili Cheese Dogs in Blankets

Ingredients

Hotdogs:
8 pack Ball park Turkey hot dogs (the best)
1 can Pillsbury Grands Home style original Refrigerated Biscuits

Chili:
1/2 onion chopped
1 tbsp butter
1 can pinto beans (not drained)
1 can kidney beans (not drained)
1 lb lean ground beef
2 cans 15 oz. tomato sauce
1 can 15 oz diced tomato
2 tsp chili powder
1 bay leaf
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper

Toppings:
Shredded Cheddar
Chopped onion

Method

Heat oven to 350.

Saute onion in butter until soft. Add burger, cook until browned. Add the rest of chili ingredients, bring to a boil. Simmer for 40 minutes.
Meanwhile pat hot dog with paper towel, and carefully wrap one biscuit around the dog. Seal any gaps or holes in biscuit, then place on greased cookie sheet.
Bake wrapped hot dogs for 5 minutes, flip them over, then cook for 10 more or until biscuit is cooked through and browned.

Remove Bay leaf from chili.

Top the "dogs in blankets" with chili, cheese and chopped onions.
