Mark's Chilli Con Carne

2 onions, sliced thick
1 kg lean beef mince
2 x sachet taco seasoning
2 tsp ground cloves
2 tbsp. dried oregano
1 x 800 gm tin diced tomatoes
2 x 400 gm tins black beans
1 x 270 gm jar pickled sliced jalapenos (drained)
30 ml Worcestershire sauce
Habanero Tabasco sauce


Lightly oil an extra large pan

Cook onions down until well browned and remove

Cook the beef mince in batches until well browned

Add the beef mince and onions back to the pan adding taco seasoning, ground cloves and dried oregano. Cook out until fragrant

Add tomatoes (undrained), beans (undrained) and jalapenos. Fill the tomato can with water and add, stirring well.

Add Worcestershire sauce and stir.

Add Habanero Tabasco sauce to taste (this recipe already has a kick without it).

Simmer for 20 minutes until sauce is thick.

Serve on its own or with a tortilla.
