Ingredients

1 cup beef broth
1 cup chili sauce
1/2 cup molasses
2 tbsp red wine vinegar
4 tsp Dijon mustard
2 tsp chili seasoning (or 1 tsp chili powder)
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp celeri salt
1 tsp cumin powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper (preferably from a pepper mill)
2/3 cup water

Method

Mix well all ingredients together and pour into a saucepan. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for approximately 20 minutes.

To prepare with chicken, set the BBQ to medium-high heat and place unseasoned and skinless chicken breasts (or thighs) on the oiled grill. Close the lid of the BBQ and cook for 6 minutes. Flip the chicken over, and cook for another 6 minutes. Apply some BBQ sauce over one side of the chicken, and flip over; cook for 1 minute. Apply BBQ sauce to the other side of the chicken, flip over and cook for 1 more minute.
