Teriyaki sauce

1/4 c. soy sauce
1/4 c. orange juice or sherry
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 T brown sugar
1/2 T olive oil
1 T fresh or 1 t ground ginger
1/4 t dry mustard
1 T cornstarch, tapioca, or arrowroot (optional)


Mix everything together.

Add the cornstarch if you want it to thicken while cooking (e.g. for a stir-fry).
