Dietary guidance: v
-38 Ounces (1 Pound and 12 Ounces) of Chocolate Chips (or Cooking Chocolate)
-1 Pound of Butter
-2 Cups of Whipped Cream
-1 Cup of Sugar
-4 Teaspoons of Vanilla Extract
-1 Ounce of Melted Milk Chocolate
You have been warned!
-In a large, heavy saucepan, mix 1 pound of chocolate, butter, 1 cup of whipped cream, and sugar all together at medium-low heat until smooth. Remove from heat
-In a large bowl, mix the eggs and vanilla extract together.
-Pour half of chocolate mixture into egg mixture. Mix thoroughly. Pour entire egg mixture back into chocolate mixture and mix thoroughly.
-Grease a springform pan with cooking spray for the oven. Add batter to the pan. Place foil on a baking sheet under the pan in case batter might flow out.
-Put in oven and bake at 350º for 45-50 minutes. For each of the required times, insert a knife or toothpick into center and make sure it comes out clean.
-When ready, remove from oven and let cool on wire rack for a few hours.
-When cool, remove torte from pan and onto a serving plate. Use metal spatula if necessary to loosen pastry from pan.
-In a small saucepan, heat the 1 cup of whipped cream to boiling.
-Place 12-ounces of chocolate chips in a medium bowl. Add boiled whipped cream to chocolate. Stir until smooth and let cool at room temperature.
-Spread mixture on the torte. Drizzle melted milk chocolate on top for decoration. Let chill in fridge for 30 minutes.
