butter, magarine or oil spread, pepper, salt, oregano, basil, rosemary, and for really spicy chicken: crushed red pepper. For lower sodium lovers, you can substitute the salt with garlic powder.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Then wash the chicken cutlets in cold water. I have heard that it is a good idea to add salt when doing this. Next place the chicken cutlets side by side in the baking pan. Place a teaspoon of butter on each cutlet. Then season as desired using the ingredients. A dash of each is sufficient. Add a little bit of water on the bottom of the pan so that the chicken does not burn while it is baking. Serve with vegetables or pasta.
