Cheesy Macaroni & Apples

3 cup macaroni noodles
4 tsp vegetable oil
2 1/2 cup milk
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp flour
1 tsp dried tarragon
2 cup cheddar cheese, grated
2 apples, peeled & chopped
2 onions, chopped


Cook pasta according to package directions for al dente. In a small saucepan; combine milk, butter, flour, tarragon and bit of salt; mix well. Heat over low heat. Add 1 1/2 cups cheese and stir until cheese is melted. In a 2 quart casserole dish; blend noodles, cheese sauce, apples and onions. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top. Cover and bake in preheated 350 F oven for 30 minutes.
