Backcountry Breakfast

A great, filling breakfast for when we go camping. Just dump it all together in a big ziploc bag before you leave!

2 cups (or so) quick cooking oatmeal
3/4 cup powdered milk
1 cup raisins
1 cup chopped nuts (walnuts, sliced almonds, pecans all work)
A few shelled sunflower seeds (optional)
3 tablespoons brown sugar


Mix ingredients thoroughly in a bowl and pour contents into a zip-type bag.
When ready to eat breakfast, boil 6 cups of water in a pot and dump in the contents of the bag. Cook, stirring, for five minutes, then serve.
