Chocolate Sour Cream Cake

Ingredients

1c butter, soften
2c sugar
2 eggs
2c flour, all-purpose
1.5tsp baking powder
.5tsp salt
1c sour cream
.5tsp vanilla extract

Seasoning (Option 1):
Cinnamon
Sugar

Glaze (Option 2):
1/2c chocolate chips, semi-sweet
1/4c butter
1/4c nuts (optional)

Method

Blend butter and sugar until creamy. Beat in eggs. In separate bowl mix flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix butter-sugar mix with dry ingredients. Add sour cream and vanilla; blend until smooth. Grease and flour an angel food cake pan on the bottom and sides.

Option 1:
Sprinkle cinnamon and sugar the bottom of the pan. Add half the batter into the cake pan. Sprinkle another layer of cinnamon and sugar, then add the remaining batter. Sprinkle a final layer of cinnamon and sugar. Place in a 350 degree oven for 1 1/4 hrs or until done. Allow at least ten minutes to cool prior to removing from pan. Serve at room temp.

Option 2:
Place nuts into cake pan to form a top coating, if desired. Add batter to pan and bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/4 hrs or until done. Allow at least ten minutes to cool prior to removing from pan. While cake is cooling, heat up the chocolate and butter and mix thoroughly until completely smooth. Drizzle chocolate glaze over cake. Allow to cool before serving.
